Notary Service AND FEES

Our fees start at $25 for a private in-office signing with one notary signature and seal. Our fees *include* printing all additional CA certification needed, as well as access to our legal hotline for complex issues. Each additional notary seal is $15.

Below please find our client’s most frequently asked questions:

  1. Who must be present to sign ?

All named signers on a document must be present, with current valid identification for the notarization to be fully completed at one time. There are circumstances where an additional signer must sign at a different time, or in a different state, and their notarization can be added on later to complete the process.

  1. Can my document be notarized?

A document must contain California ‘notarial wording’ to be notarized. If you have been given this document by an agency, please look for the words ‘satisfactory evidence’ and/or ‘subscribed and sworn’ on your document. If neither are present, Pasadena Notary Group can provide the appropriate legal CA certification to attach at our signing. Just let us know.

Apostille Service AND FEES

An Apostille is a special seal from the Secretary of State in addition to a notary seal. It means that your document has been examined for veracity and has been approved for use overseas.

Pasadena Notary Group offers same day Apostille service on Weekdays. Our expedited service means you avoid waiting up to six weeks for a mail-in submission. Please note, you must provide the document that you wish to be Apostilled at your appointment. If you need your documents to be drafted by a professional first, we can refer you to our preferred LDA (Legal Documents Assistant). Just ask.

Here are the answers to our most frequently asked questions:

  1. What document can be Apostilled?

Your document must meet two criteria for obtaining an Apostille in CA. Firstly, it must have been issued in the State of California. Secondly, that the Apostille is being requested for a country that participates in the Hague Convention. We cannot Apostille for Non Hague.

  1. How does the process work?

You will choose to visit our offices to submit and receive your documents, or have us travel to you in our service area. We accept cash, Venmo or Zelle.

All named signers must appear with current valid identification for your document to be notarized. An Apostille cannot be notarized in stages. Most documents require us to attach a simple “Acknowledgment”- which proves that you appeared before a notary and proved your identity. However if you believe you need to also swear an oath to the receiving country that the contents of your document are true, you must ask us for a “Jurat” to be attached instead.

Please make sure you know which service you require before your appointment, as we are not legally allowed to choose for you.

We can pay the fees at the Secretary of State for you, and you can cover these in your payment to us.

Your document must be fully completed prior to signing with no blank spaces – check carefully to see if you have forgotten to fill out key information requested, such as bank details.

  1. What will happen next?

You will fill out the Apostille request form with us at your appointment and we will conduct the notarization. If the appointment is at 9 or 9.30 am it is likely that your documents can be returned to you the same night. We reserve the right to return them the next day if the Secretary of State closes their offices due to extreme weather, a national security incident, etc. If there is no such issue we will take your document to the Secretary of State and process it there. It usually takes less than five hours. We will then meet you back at our office or the location of your choice in our service area to return the document.

  1. What are the fees?

You will pay $20 to the SoS per document submitted, and $6 per SoS signature. We can pay this for you at their facility and add it to our Apostille Fees.

Our Apostille Fees are as follows:

Notary Fee – $15 per notary signature/seal

$10 per Request Form

$210 Apostille Processing Fee *including* our travel time, gas, the day at the SoS Office, and the $15 parking fee.

Mobile Fees – $20/20 for office appt signing and pickup

$40/40 for other location signing and drop off.

You can choose to visit the office to sign and have the doc dropped off elsewhere, or vice versa.

Example – Ben has a document to Apostille with one notarization required. He visits our office at 9.30am and pays $20 plus $25. We go to the SoS by 11 am and process his Apostille and pay $26 for him. We return his document to Pasadena Community College Library at 5.30pm ($40) and he pays an additional $200 plus $26.

I needed to get my form VS111 notarized, and was glad to find this business because they have walk-in appointments! Most of the other notary services I found were purely mobile so they had travel fees involved.

Patrick, the owner of the business, was very courteous and professional, and got my form settled within 10 minutes so I was in and out with plenty of time to get to next appointment.”

Billy T. - Arcadia, CA

Fast, efficient, clear description of what was offered and how the notary works. Very clear cut and simple. Made a same day appointment and was in and out in less than 20 minutes!

SC Y - Pasadena, CA

I needed an apostille service same-day. I came to the office, which was nice because a lot of notaries don’t have an office. They were quick and friendly. They processed it in one day with the Secretary of State, which was amazing. Plus, I needed to be at home for a Zoom call, and they were nice enough to come to my place to drop it off. Well worth the money in my opinion, and reasonably priced for the service. Will definitely use them again.

AD K. - Brooklyn, NY

Patrick was professional and thorough. I needed a notary fast and he was on it. Highly recommend!

t L. - Los Angeles, CA

Excellent service from this business. Patrick was easy to work with, and I was in and out in 20 minutes. Highly recommended! Will be my go-to from now on.
